At this week’s FOMC meeting, the Fed reported that Core Inflation had dropped to 5.3%, a one and a half year low..

Shit That Matters

The Fed Pauses Rate Hikes At The June FOMC Meeting - The Federal Reserve has paused their rate hikes after a core inflation report for May came in at 5.3%; but they are hinting at two more hikes in 2023.

Harsh Reality - As reported last week, the Fed will likely have to resume rate increases in July and/or September. If this occurs then it will cause a huge market knee-jerk because most credit heavy industries (Tech, Real Estate, Etc) have been betting on rate reductions in the last quarter of 2023. We here at Harsh Reality view that as highly unlikely and 16 members of the FOMC have confirmed our views. We expect an additional 50 basis point increase to the Fed Funds rate in 2023.

FBI Informant Reported $10M Biden Bribery - An FBI informant has reported a $10M payment to then VP Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden.

Harsh Reality - I don’t care whether it was Donald Trump, Joe Biden or George Washington himself; if a sitting president or vice president is being bribed for political favors, they need to be investigated. This informant has also reported that the leadership at Burisma has seventeen recordings of the Bidens accepting bribes, two of which include Joe Biden. While investigating bank records, the House oversight committee has identified at least $10M of laundered deposits to the Biden family; and expect to find double or triple that in the coming months.

While we’re doubtful that anything will be done, this makes Watergate look like jaywalking and it should be the leading story on every news channel right now. Instead, most mainstream media has run a defacto blackout on this story. So goes the sad state of partisan politics in the United States.

Russo-Ukrainian War - Ukrainian Offensive Is Not Going So Great.. - The Ukrainian offensive has been met with stiff resistance by the Russians.

Harsh Reality - This hasn’t been a great opening for the Ukrainians. The Russians have basically stopped all forward progress on every front. Some pro-Ukrainians sources are calling these efforts “shaping attacks,” and not the main offensive. That may or may not be true but not much success has been observed thus far.

Meanwhile both the Russians and Ukrainians are trading blows away from the line of contact. We’ve seen harassment attacks on both Belgorod and Odessa that have no military value whatsoever. Both sides are guilty of this..

Air National Guardsman Indicted For Top Secret Leaks - A Federal Grand Jury has indicted Jack Teixeira for leaking several Top Secret documents online.

Harsh Reality - This is just another idiot kid looking for attention. Throw him in the mix with Bradley Manning and Edward Snowden for the dumbass of the week award.

Air Quality Alerts Continue In The United States - Smoke from wildfires in Canada continue to cause serious air quality concerns across the U.S.

Harsh Reality - Well over half of the United States has been impacted by smoke and air quality concerns. The heaviest impacts are being seen in the northern portion of the country while the smoke has made its way all the way to the Gulf of Mexico and out into the Atlantic Ocean.

Harsh Reality - Cinderella Story for sure.. The team was founded in 2017 and already have their first Stanley Cup. Nothing but great things ahead for this franchise and congratulations all around.

Denver Nuggets Are FINALLY NBA Champions - The Denver Nuggets have waited 47 years to be able to say this..

Harsh Reality - Now you know why we’ve called the Golden Knights a Cinderella Story. The Denver Nuggets has been in the hunt for a championship for 47 years… They are finally successful and we congratulate them.

Twitter Knockoff Is Live - “Spill,” the Twitter knockoff started by ex-Twitter employees is now live.

Harsh Reality - We hope this falls flat on its face.. The reason Elon Musk purchased Twitter is because of widespread pro-liberal censorship and corruption. We have no doubt that this will follow that same path.
